Asthma is an illness of the lungs in which a patient has difficulty breathing due to swollen and inflamed airways. This inflammation leads to the airways getting narrower which makes it hard for the air to go in and out. The condition can either be allergic or non-allergic in nature and the intensity of asthma varies from person to person.
